The Falmouth Memorial Library invites local artists to exhibit their work at the Library.

 

The Library has facilities to exhibit artwork and other items on certain of its walls and/or, to a limited extent, in locked cases or on top of bookcases.  The available areas are indicated on the attached Exhibit Space Diagram, and include approcimately 65 linear feet of wall space along passageways and at computer stations.  In addition, the Library’s John J. Russell Room may also be available for receptions and accompanying programs, either public or private.  The Library will make every attempt to monitor and protect works of art on ehibit, but assumes no responsibility for damage or loss, and we encourage artists to carry adequate insurance for works displayed at the Library.

 

In general, exhibits of the work of a single artist are scheduled for a period of six weeks, and may include the work of more than one artist or group shows.  The works of art exhibited may or may not be for sale.  Please review carefully the attached Exhibiting Artist Information Sheet.

 

If you are interested in exhibiting at the Falmouth Memorial Library, please complete the accompanying application form and return it to the Library Director so that the application can be presented at the next Art Committee meeting.  As part of the application process, your signature on the application will indicate that you agree to abide by the terms of the attached Falmouth Memorial Library Exhibiting Artist Information Sheet.  The Art Committee will review your application and will contact you with any questions and/or to let you know the results of its review of your application.  The Art Committee reserves the right to decline to exhibit any specific work or works.

 

As we receive applications from many potential exhibitors, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to display your work, but we will give your application the careful consideration that it deserves.  Thank you for you interest in exhibiting at the Library; we look forward to learning more about your work.
