Garden Tour 2014– Thank You to all Who Participated!

The Falmouth Garden Tour allows you to be inspired by some of the town’s best gardens.  Most of these gardens are owner-designed, extensively planted and lovingly maintained.  A special Preview Tour and cocktail reception will be held on Friday, June 20 to thank our corporate sponsors and a limited number of tickets will be available to the public.  The gardens will remain a secret until the morning of the tour, or you can attend the Preview Tour for early access to two of the gardens and to receive your tour map early.  Tickets for the 2014 Falmouth Garden Tour and Preview Tour are one sale now. Ticket costs for the Tour are $20 in advance/$25 the day of; Preview Tour tickets are $45 and include admission to the June 21 tour.  Preview tickets may only be purchased at the Library.  All proceeds benefit Falmouth Memorial Library.

The Library now accepts all major credit cards.  If you wish to purchase tickets via credit card, please call the library prior to 5 pm Friday, June 20 or stop by the library the day of the show.  Contact us at 781-2351.

Garden Tour Lecture Series

In celebration of our 2014 Falmouth Garden Tour, we are pleased to bring you a diverse array of speakers on a variety of garden-related topics.  These FREE lectures feature specialists in their field who have donated their time.  We thank them for their generosity and invite you to stop in for one or all of these informative programs.  To kick-off the series we will host naturalist David Allen Sibley who will provide a talk about his latest edition of The Sibley Guide to Birds.

We are thrilled to welcome artist, writer, and naturalist David Allen Sibley.  He is the author and illustrator of a series of successful guides to nature, including the New York Times best-seller The Sibley Guide to Birds. He has traveled extensively throughout North America and abroad as a birding tour leader and lecturer.  Sibley has contributed art and articles to Smithsonian, Science, The Wilson Journal of Ornithology, Birding, and North American Birds, and he wrote and illustrated a syndicated column for The New York Times. He is the recipient of the Roger Tory Peterson Award for Lifetime Achievement from the American Birding Association and the Eisenmann Medal of the Linnaean Society of New York.  He lives in Concord, Massachusetts.
