Saturday, October 14, 10:00 AM to Noon: Putting the Gardens to Bed | Supporting Soil Health

Come experience the gardens at Tidewater Farm, learn about what we do, ask your gardening questions, and participate in hands-on demonstrations with UMaine Extension Staff and Master Gardener Volunteers. Demonstrations begin at 10:30 AM. Child-friendly activities will be provided. No registration required.

Participate in a hands-on demonstration of how to put your gardens to bed, including practices that will support wildlife during the winter months. Then, learn how to conduct a soil test, amend your soil based on the soil test results, and protect your soil going into the winter months.

Our friends at the Falmouth Memorial Library will be on hand to share resources about their youth and adult programs. Don’t miss their special story time featuring a fall-themed children’s book!
