Are you an avid walker, hiker or runner? Do you listen to audiobooks while you move about? A unique book club will be starting just in time for the new year. Read @ Your Own Pace is an online exercise and reading log to help you stay focused on your fitness goals while sharing your favorite books with others. This is a completely individualized book club. Simply listen to your favorite book while you do whatever gets you moving—whether it be walking, jogging, running, cleaning, gardening, biking, skiing, etc.—then log it in the journal. The program begins on Monday, January 6, 2014 and you can join at any time. At the end of three months, prizes will be awarded to participants who logged the most exercise and the most completed books. Calorie Burning Calculator
Since exercise comes in many forms, you may find the use of a calorie burning calculator helpful. Calculators list any number of activities, including housework and horseback grooming, and calculate the calories you burned based on your weight and length of time spent at the activity.
