Book Sales
The library is currently accepting book donations. Please ensure that all book donations are in excellent condition and were published in the last 5 years. We are also looking for the following:- Major series authors like Louise Penny, David Baldacci, James Patterson, etc.
- Continually popular older books (remember, excellent condition only!)
- Books written by Maine authors
- Children’s series books and classics
Gift-A-Book
Periodically, Youth Services accepts monetary donations to cover the cost of pre-selected children’s books in exchange for personalized book plates. Children love to read through the selected titles and choose which one to donate to the library with their name listed on the inside cover. This is a great way expand our children’s collection and honor someone at the same time.Other Forms of Giving

Have an old car taking up space in your driveway? Falmouth Memorial Library and CARS can help CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) is a nonprofit organization based in San Diego, California. Founded in 2003 as a means to provide additional funding to the programs and services of Jewish Family Service, CARS soon began accepting vehicle donations to help other nonprofits raise extra revenue. CARS is partnered with over 3,500 nonprofits with the vision of expanding our fundraising efforts so that they can continue to provide additional revenue to these amazing nonprofit organizations—including Falmouth Memorial Library. Are returnable containers taking up space in your home? Consider donating your discarded returnables to benefit Falmouth Memorial Library. It’s as simple as:- Stop by the Library for a Clynk bag;
- fill our tagged bag;
- drop it off at a nearby Clynk location (Hannaford in Falmouth).
The money from your bag of returnable containers will go directly to the Library’s Clynk account.
Volunteering
Falmouth Memorial Library depends on a dedicated group of community volunteers for many day-to-day tasks. For both new and longtime residents of Falmouth, being a volunteer helps our library and provides an opportunity to interact with the hundreds of people who visit each day. Volunteers are trained for their specific tasks of interest by the library staff.
