Summer Reading Program
Summer Reading 2025 runs from Saturday, June 13th – Saturday, August 8th.
Participants can register at the Summer Reading Volunteer station when the volunteers are present. When they are not, kids will register in person at the children’s desk & adults and teens will register at the circulation desk.

Summer Reading For All Ages
Participants of all ages have a chance to win prizes.
Pay attention to our calendar of events to see additional events all summer long, for youth and adults alike. Events are open to all, even those not signed up for summer reading.
Finally, save the date: on August 16th, 2025 the FLASH READ returns! Live music, flavored ice truck, crafts, lawn games, and MORE return to the Library to help us celebrate the end of summer reading in style! Be sure to wear items that can get wet and bring a change of clothing to have fun in the foam machine!
Summer Reading For Kids and Teens
Reading over the summer is one of the best things that kids can do to maintain their skills (no summer slide!) or give themselves a boost for the next school year. Staying active with reading keeps the mind fresh and helps make sure that students are sharp and ready at the start of the new year.
Level Up at Your Library this summer. Children ages 0-5 can complete activities to boost pre-reading skills. Children ages 5-11 can set their own reading goal and win prizes along the way. Teens can play a BINGO game filled with reading and other activities.

Summer Reading For Adults
Why should kids have all the fun every summer? Whether you have fond memories of summer reading from childhood or you’ve never had the chance to participate in such a program before, Falmouth Memorial Library is here to encourage adults to challenge themselves to read more during the summer!
Adults will receive a BINGO sheet filled with fun reading-related activities and each completed BINGO row/column/diagonal will earn them an entry into the final drawing. Prizes include gift cards to Sicilian Table, Rivalries, and Sherman’s.
