Held annually on the first Saturday of December, the Ugly Sweater 5K & Merry Mile is part of the Town’s Very Merry Falmouth weekend-long celebration. The Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and race proceeds benefit the Falmouth Memorial Library’s Annual Fund. So break out those ugly sweaters and join us for this holiday hustle down US Route 1 in Falmouth! Between the 5K chip-timed road race and the 1-mile fun walk, there is something for everyone.

NEW: even if you cannot participate in person, you can register virtually to run 5K or walk a mile wherever you are in the world! You can also opt to fundraise as a runner or walker, with all proceeds supporting the Library’s Annual Fund!

WOW, we had nearly 500 runners and walkers brave very chilly temperatures and light snow this year! Thank you to everyone who made the 2025 Ugly Sweater 5K & Merry Mile a HUGE success on December 6.
